ORIGINS.
A decade ago, the mission was simple: total immersion in bespoke lutherie. Under the NW Guitars label, I explored the limits of handcrafted guitars, where every millimeter was a shared decision between the luthier and the musician. This era of full custom builds remains the foundation of my craft, a journey defined by the tool, the timber, and a relentless commitment to high-end guitar making.
THE MARINKA GENESIS.
In 2018, a specific custom commission challenged my perspective on traditional design. This was the birth of the first Marinka silhouette. Beyond aesthetics, this project was a revelation in ergonomic guitar design: I realized that an instrument could and should redefine the player’s comfort. It was no longer just about building a guitar, it was about sculpting a seamless connection between the musician and the sound.
BEYOND THE HAND.
In 2021, the workshop embraced the digital frontier. The introduction of CNC technology was never about automation; it was about pushing the boundaries of high-precision lutherie and exploring new possibilities. By combining traditional craftsmanship with advanced engineering, I unlocked a new dimension of precision, where the machine becomes a natural extension of the luthier’s hand.
THE WALKO IDENTITY.
2022 marked a turning point. By asserting my name through Walko Guitars, I solidified my place in the high-end boutique lutherie market. International exhibitions like the Guitar Summit became vital opportunities to confront my craft with global professional standards. This era, defined by models like the Arsis, represents a synthesis of years of research: merging advanced ergonomics with the uncompromising reliability required for the world stage.
THE VISION.
2026 marks the year of culmination. After a decade of bespoke lutherie, I have distilled ten years of experimentation into one radical vision: The Marinka V2.
To fully embrace this new era, I will accept my final custom commissions until December 31, 2026.
Unveiling at the Guitar Summit (Sept. 2026), the first three Marinka V2 will be available for immediate purchase. For all subsequent builds, the 2027 production schedule is now open for inquiries.
